Feng Ning - violin Print E-mail

Feng Ning

Feng Ning won the 2006 Paganini International Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy, and the 2005 Michael Hill International Violin Concerto in New Zealand.

Born in Chengdu, China, Ning began learning the violin at the age of four.  In 1998, he was invited as a full scholarship student to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.  He has won many international competitions and prizes and after winning the Paganini Competition, he was invited to perform on Paganini's own violin, the 1743 Guarneri del Gesù 'Cannone'.

He has performed with the Chinese National Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Hungarica, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, the Belgium National Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonia Vienna, the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, the I Musici de Montreal, the Auckland Philharmonia, Vector Wellington Orchestra, and Christchurch Symphony. 

Ning has given recitals in many countries and has recorded for JVC Records and Triton Records in Japan, Cypres Records in Belgium, and Channel Classics in Netherlands.
