Marc Taddei – conductor Janet Roddick – presenter Take your musical tots on a trip to the farm! Can an orchestra quack like a duck, honk like a goose, and cluck like a chicken? Yes, it can – and even more! The Orchestra serves up a harvest of popular tunes such as “Baa Baa Black Sheep” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, while introducing orchestral classics like “The Ballet of the Little Chicks” from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Created by music education pioneer Thomas Goss, this programme will have young audience members interacting with the music close up by singing along, providing sound effects, moving to the music, and even conducting! Baby Pops concerts end by inviting the entire audience to walk a trail right through the orchestra as it plays, making it a close-up experience for children and parents alike. Add to the party atmosphere and come in your favourite dress-ups!
